    Michael J. McCaney, Jr., of counsel, focuses on representing businesses in a wide variety of commercial disputes, including, among other matters, franchise, contracts, real estate, construction, civil rights, civil RICO, employment law, trade secrets and distribution agreement issues.

    Michael has been in private and governmental practice since being admitted to the Bar in Pennsylvania in 1978. Michael started in private practice was then hired by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a prosecutor in the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, and then served as Special Trial Counsel for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation where he was responsible for difficult, complex and novel matters, including the conduct of high impact and complex litigation. Upon returning to private practice, Michael has handled a wide range of jury and bench trials, arbitrations and mediations, both plaintiff and defense, including numerous and various injunction proceedings. Michael has appellate court experience in all Pennsylvania appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

    Michael has served as a Director of the Montgomery Bar Association and as Chair of its Franchise Practice Committee. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Montgomery Bar Association, and is admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, The United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, The United Sates District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
